Instructor Bio:

Born in Brazil and raised in the United States, Bruno Rodrigues is no stranger to adapting quick to new environments. After training Taekwondo and Hapkido for 8 years, he wanted a new challenge. he discovered Jiu-Jitsu and began training in Washington, DC before eventually moving to Hawaii to pursue a new life closer to the one he experienced in Brazil.

It's been 6 years since he's been on Oahu and as an active competitor and personal trainer, he's dedicated to perfecting his conditioning and technique. He trains at Workshop Honolulu and is a purple belt under Larry Hope.

WHAT'S IN THIS SERIES?

In this instructional, we go over leg entries for the toe-hold and some other variations. The main idea of these videos are for you to understand if and when the techniques presented are suitable for the given scenario. These are not "fast," or "hard," rules but serve as guidelines and principles that will lead to a better, more fluid Jiu-Jitsu game.

WHY THIS INSTRUCTIONAL?

It provides the general rules and guidelines of the toe-hold. By the end of this course, you will know when it is the appropriate time to utilize the toe-hold based on the situation you are presented with either in a sparring session or competition.

Each concept and technique is explained and shown step-by-step with detailed explanations from start to finish. This course is beginner friendly and begins with the fundamentals you need to take these techniques and concepts and apply them to your own, unique Jiu-Jitsu game.
